Set of four “Pan Am” dining chairs by Gastone Rinaldi for Rima, Italy, 1970s.
In good vintage condition: the small metal plates at the back of the cushions have been all replaced (this is a weak point of this model; Pan Am dining chairs are rare to find with these two rectangular parts intact). The chrome structure of all four chairs is in great condition, with some wear consistent with their age. The chairs are very comfortable.
The cushions are upholstered in cognac faux-leather with minor imperfections in some chairs.
A very collectible and increasingly rare space age design by Italian designer Gastone Rinaldi (1920-2006, Padua) for the metal furniture manufacturer RIMA.
