A very large pottery vase with handle by Wächtersbach Keramik, Germany, circa 1960.
The ball vase is decorated with teal lines on a graphite glaze ground. The condition is excellent.

Wächtersbach Keramik was an independent ceramics manufacturing company founded in 1832 in Brachttal-Schlierbach, Hesse, near the town of Wächtersbach, which gave the company its name. Between the late 19th century and the mid-20th century, it was among the most important German producers of earthenware, both in terms of production volume and artistic quality.
